What is the reason for a slow or stopped central air conditioning outside cooling fan with a loss of cold air?
Q. The recent problem seems to be related to the outdoor cooling fan. The air conditioning system seems to be working properly, but there is a loss of cooling of the air coming from the indoor air conditioning vents. I inspected the outside unit, and yesterday the cooling fan was stopped with a humming/grinding sound. The capacitor looked good (no bulging), but I'm not an electrician and I have no way (or the knowledge) to test voltages and amperages and such. Anyway, I blew on some dust/dirt/cobwebs around some of the wires, and started the system back on and the fan moved at normal speed and the system worked and cooler air came out. A. replace your outdoor fan and while your at it replace the capacitor and everything will be fine. But turn your unit off untill you get it fixed or you'll be changing a compressor or buying a new unit.

Which is the best laptop cooling, or good price but effective in reduce the heat?
Q. I recently purchased a high performance laptop, and it generate quite some heat. I really worry so can you guys please tell me which brand name and model of laptop cooling is good on the market? I would prefer about 50$ and lower, dont really want to spend much more.

A. New machines generate a lot of heat, this is what happens when you squish a ton of performance into a small case. AMD is the worst for this, but Intel is still pretty bad.. Ultimately the machines have fairly good cooling properties, you really don't need to worry about this to bad if you bought a decent machine. Ultimately all of the "coolers" out their are a gimmick.. Your laptop has a gutter that releases heat to a secondary fan that blows out either through a fin design or though a physical fan. Using a "cooler" will just blow the hot air back into the machine, which will cause heat soak, warping and eventually kill the machine. Q. I am planning to buy a Q9550 Intel cpu. I dont plan to overclock it, but i will be doing lots of gaming. My case will already be extremely cool. But even with all this shoul i buy an aftermarket cooling fan for my cpu?

A. Aftermarket cooling is without a doubt better in every way. Well, good ones that is. They keep your CPU running cooler, thus, prolonging the life span of it and they're quieter. Xigmatek's HDT-S1283 has amazing value for the cost. The OCZ Vendetta 2 is arguably one of the best air coolers out at the moment. Since you'll be gaming a lot, the loud and whiny stock cooler might distract you. Aftermarket coolers utilizing 120mm fans are very quiet.
